Working Together to Make the World Better for Children is a unit of
3-day’s lessons designed to:

1. Raise students’ awareness of the problems facing children worldwide
and how world leaders and governments have pledged to solve
them

2. Increase students’ understanding of these problems through
learning about the Eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)

3. Explore how various organizations, agencies, and individuals are
working to meet the MDGs

4. Show students how they can help meet the MDGs
